Short Biography of the Speaker

Jerry L. Anderson is Dean and Richard M. and Anita Calkins Distinguished Professor of Law at Drake University Law School, where he has taught Environmental Law and Property for twenty-five years.  Prof. Anderson has co-authored two books, Environmental Law Practice (Carolina Acad. Press, 3d ed. 2010), and Property Law: Practice, Problems, and Perspectives (Aspen 2014), as well as numerous articles on environmental law, administrative law, and property.  He serves on the board of editors of an international journal, Environmental Law Review.  Professor Anderson received his J.D. (Order of the Coif) from Stanford Law School and clerked for Judge Alex Kozinski on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He co-founded and served as Managing Attorney of Midwest Environmental Justice Advocates, a public interest environmental law group, which brought successfully pursued several important water pollution cases.
